Manuscript Evaluation Process

  • Each manuscript is checked by the Editor for technical accuracy and compliance with the profile of the journal.
  • All submitted manuscripts are subject to the double-blind peer review.
  • If the manuscript is written in English at least one of the reviewers is affiliated with a foreign institution other than the nationality of the author of the manuscript.
  • For the substantive assessment of each manuscript there are appointed at least two independent reviewers from outside the scientific unit affiliated by the author of the manuscript.
  • A reviewer cannot simultaneously be the author and the reviewer of manuscripts within one issue.
  • The written review contains a clear reviewer's finding for the conditions of a scientific manuscript to be published or rejected.
  • Each reviewer independently makes one of four decisions:
    • Accept
    • Minor revision
    • Major revision
    • Reject
  • The final decision on whether the manuscript is published, revised or rejected is made by Editor in-Chief.
  • Corrected manuscripts are to be reviewed once again.
  • About each decision (change of the status of the manuscript) the author is informed on an ongoing basis via e-mail.
